Today was the opening day of the Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington DC. Winter storm Regis put a big "no-no" on today's weather, but there were a few of us brave souls out this cold and breezy morning.
The Yoshinos along the Tidal Basin are starting to bloom. We are a few days (4-7) from full peak, but the promising signs are there. This is from one of the few older trees that had some nice blooms on it. Rendered in high key for a better effect.
An avid photographer, based in Maryland, that specializes in landscapes and sunrise/sunsets, with particular emphasis on long exposure work. Edward utilizes different filter combinations to achieve the desired effects. Along with landscapes, Edward also enjoys macro work and abstracts.
